Interpretive Dancing

This past weekend, my friends and I filmed our English final project. Afterwards, we had a funny dance session at 2am. The fact that we can do things like this sober just tells me we need to refrain from any substance use because who knows what will happen when I'm not in a sane state of mind.

Syracuse University Relay For Life 2013

I participated in my first Relay For Life yesterday,  hence the late post. Let me tell you, it was nothing like I had expected. I didn't realize that the event was an all night soiree with performances and ballroom dance lessons and things to buy and make and play in addition to the given walking and the speech giving.

My experience is best documented by this video I threw together last night/this morning.

Women's Week

It was International Women's Day last Friday. For this week on TheProjectChronicles, I decided to give my input in the never-ending debate of whether or not Disney Princesses make good role models for young girls.

So, cat's out of the bag. I make weekly videos on Mondays for a collab channel called TheProjectChronicles. Why did I decide to share this with you now? Well, I kind of need to make up a post with an image/video/photo thing, so HERE IT IS!

Yeah, this was a wimpy excuse of a make-up post for the one I missed on Sunday. However it is an important part of my life, so I might as well share with you :P

The Harlem Shake

Not my video... but one Jillian and I participated in. Our residence hall created one of those Harlem Shake videos that seem to be the thing at the moment. Can you find us? I'm holding a Swifer broom. Jillian is tossing her Otto the Orange pillow up in the air at parts.

To be honest, there's no practical purpose to the Harlem Shake videos. It is honestly one of the most pointless things I've seen and participated in. But the beauty of it all lies in the community. The fact that you can gather a large crowd of people to do weird things... it brings a special sense of togetherness that isn't forced like cooperation seen in group projects or work.
