A hented past

hent
\ hent \  , verb;
1. to seize.

Today's Word of the Day was used in the form of an email.  I was emailing an aunt of mine, and she asked how I felt about my classes last semester.  So, I told her the truth, that I like this semester's classes much better.  I basically told her this by relating how elated I am every day that I no longer have to take math.

Let's get something straight here people-- I hate math.  I always have.  Probably because I've never been good at it.  Even in first grade I had mental breakdowns because I was just not having the carrying the ones business.  It's madness really, I vehemently believe that if you know that you will never ever go into the business of measuring the area of a triangle, then you should be allowed to leave the class immediately.

However, this was not my life.  Instead, this is what I told my aunt, "I am finished with math for the rest of my life!  Huzzah!  Math hented thirteen years of my life and I'm glad that I never ever have to do it again for the rest of my life ever."

That's right, thirteen years, all math all the time.  So if you too have things hented from you on a daily basis, don't worry.  You're not alone.  The only advice I can give you is to hent the day.  That's right, I just brought Latin into this.
