Airplane

From late last night to this afternoon, I was on a long journey back to campus.

On the first flight as incredibly full. In fact, I gave up my aisle seat for a middle one so that a mother and her child could sit together. The dreaded middle seat-- where the man on my left succumbed to snoring and the lady on my right could not stop coughing. After a red-eye flight that earned me about an hour of sleep, I waited at the airport the whole morning for my next flight.

The next flight was almost perfect. At first I thought maybe karma wanted to reward me by making my second flight a cute airplane with visible propellers. She decided to throw in a nearly empty plane where no one sat beside me and an adorable, bubbly toddler sat in the row in front of me. But here comes the almost part:

Small planes = loud noise

I swear it was like having a blow dryer held up to your ear the first 15 minutes of the whole hour. Only after the airplane stabilized at a certain height did the noise die down.

So a hint about karma, it does exist... but limited to your control. Good things won't just happen to you for no reason. Make the good things happen, don't just expect a higher being to reward you :P
