Very seldom am I out and about at night. While the night can be calm and serene, it can also be dark and creepy. But with an open, sparkling sky with the light reflecting on the puddles of melted snow, you forget the dark and the creepy to see the light shining around you.
At first I was worried that my art class from 6:45-10pm would be much too late at night for me to enjoy with school the next day and homework left undone. There's always a certain apprehension that comes with obligations--- the fact that it's near the end of the day, yet you still have something you need to do.
But it was the complete opposite. For just 4 hours in the day, I don't need to think about anything else. My infamous To Do List is tossed aside where I don't need to add or cross anything off to feel productive. The day's anxieties are left behind. My mind can just shut down for a few hours and it feels great!... which brings me back to the peaceful nighttime walks to and from class. I think I can learn to enjoy this.
