im·per·turb·a·ble
[im-per-tur-buh-buh l]
adjective
incapable of being upset or agitated; not easily excited; calm: imperturbable composure.
Imperturbable. I dare you to say it five times fast. Dare you. I used it today on an errand excursion with my mom, at the Home Goods. Now, normally, I cannot go into a place like Home Goods without wanting to lacerate my throat of boredom. Not kidding. Okay, I'm kidding, but the point is, there are a bunch of home knick knacks in there and I'm at that age where shopping for anything but clothes, shoes, or FUN dorm knick knacks is just plain tedious.
Anyway, while shopping there with my mother, she showed me a picture frame that held a phony picture of a really adorable sleeping puppy. Puppy looked so serene and cute. Realizing this was my opportunity to use the WoD, I said to her, "Aww, this puppy looks so calm and imperturbable!" to which my mother nodded and replied, "Very cute". We continued on, perusing around the store looking at gilded bird cages and ficus in vintage pots.
It was a boring store, but I had a good time with my mom. Sometimes you miss even the boring things when you're not home for months on end. Definitely not an imperturbable day. :)
